Title: Terminology in the Field of Lipid Vesicles (Liposomes) : Preparation and Essential Characterization

Completion Date: 2000 - project terminated

Objective:
Lipid vesicles are of growing importance in science and industry. However, the terminology has not been well established and users of lipid vesicles are often not aware of how these substances are characterized. It is the aim of this project to introduce a modern terminology for this class of substances.

Progress:
The working party on this project has produced a final draft which will be circulated among the members of Commission I.7 before the end of 1997.

Final report expected before the end of 2000.
