The Aims of the Polymer Division of the RACI
are to advance the theory and practice of Polymer Science by:
    • holding national symposia and discussion meetings;
    • holding local meetings with the concurrence of a Branch or Section Committee;
    • publishing proceedings of symposia, journals, books or other matter;
    • organising educational activities.

The Polymer Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) encompasses a diverse and exiting range of chemical disciplines from both Australia and New Zealand, which ensure that a wide range of topics is covered at our vibrant Australasian Polymer Symposia (APS), which are held every 12 to 18 months (the next APS will be held in Melbourne in the first week of December, 2008). In addition to the periodic Australasian Polymer Symposium, the RACI Polymer Division also supports a range of symposia and activities at local and national levels, such as the Solomon Lectures, to promote polymer science and technology.
It is committed to encouraging the next generation of polymer cientists to excel in their chosen research area and are actively promoting the education and participation of students through the
Polymer Summer Schools, which are held at a regular basis.
