Project

Analytical Chemistry Division (V)

COMMISSION ON SPECTROCHEMICAL AND OTHER OPTICAL PROCEDURES FOR ANALYSIS (V.4)

Number: 540/26/98

Title: Critical assessment of spectrochemical methods of analysis using liquid organised media

Coordinator(s): S. Shtykov

Completion Date: 2000

Objective:
There is an increasing interest in the use of methods enhancing luminescence analysis using microheterogeneous media. Such methods are very important in spectroanalysis and spectral detection in chromatography. A critical assessment of these techniques is needed to provide an objective evaluation of the different enhancement approaches. Besides energy transfer in microheterogeneous self-assembling and supramolecular systems, magnetic field detection and annihilation processes are covered. This project intends to establish quality assurance standards. Specific technology recommendations will be made for a variety of applications.
