COMMISSION ON COLLOID AND SURFACE CHEMISTRY INCLUDING CATALYSIS (I.6)

Number: 160/3/95

Title: Colloid Chemical and Catalytic Processes for the Control and Protection of Environmental Pollution (Interfaces Against Pollution)

Coordinator(s): L.K. Koopal, M. Misono and I. Dékány

Completion Date: 1999

Objectives:

  1. Overview and description of fundamental interfacial aspects related to pollution and protection of the local environment.
  2. Overview and feasibility assessment of chemical technological measures, in the fields of colloid chemistry and catalysis, for the protection of global and local environment maintaining sustainable development.
  3. To recommend and promote R&D subjects in this field for further study and international cooperation.
