One-dimensional organic semiconductors based on disc-like molecules such as phthalocyanie, triphenylene and hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene (HBC) have attracted enormous interests in organic electronics. Among them, the materials based on well-definded graphitic molecules (Figure 1) are exceptionally more interesting due to their large Π-system, higher supramolecular order, high one-dimensional charge carrier mobilites and easy solution processing.
