Analytical Chemistry Division (V)

The duties of the Analytical Chemistry Division President are:

External to the ACD

    1. Represent the Division at all IUPAC venues
    2. Submit the annual report of the ACD activities to the IUPAC Bureau and Executive (written and oral)
    3. Report to IUPAC Council (oral)
    4. Liaise with other divisions and the IUPAC Secretariat
    5. Such other duties as prescribed for a TM

Internal to the ACD

    1. Organize and chair the meetings of the Division Committee and Officers
    2. Liaise with, and provide leadership and encouragement for ACD members
    3. Contribute to the work of an ACD Team
    4. Monitor the budget of the Division
    5. Oversee the projects of the Division:
      • Approve and propose external reviewers for project proposals
      • Approve projects for funding
      • Monitor progress reports
      • Approve project output
      • Ensure project output is published and distributed according to the dissemination plan
    6. Initiate the election process for new DC members:
      • Instruct the Nominating Committee regarding the process and needs of the Division
